OPERATIONS MANAGER at Mercy Corps Banda Aceh

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Mercy Corps is a large international NGO implementing programs in Banda Aceh Meulaboh and Takengon. With over 250 staff and a 5-year implementation plan for programs in Aceh, Mercy Corps is looking for a Banda Aceh based Operations Manager. The successful candidate will meet the education and experience requirements below and will have a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and ethics.

This position requires five years experience in operational support functions with a humanitarian NGO and/or private company. Experience managing administration, procurement, logistics, warehouse and human resource systems is required. Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia are essential. Excellent negotiation and representation skills and the ability to work comfortably independently and with a diverse team. Candidates that demonstrate attention to detail, organization, ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines will be prioritized. Mercy Corps is looking for a leader with proven ability to solve problems independently without direct supervision. Knowledge of Mercy Corps systems and procedures (particularly procurement systems) highly desirable
