A diversified use of natural gas is emerging, adding a new dimension to traditional uses of gas by converting gas into, amongst other products, a high quality transportation fuel virtually free of sulphur and aromatics. In partnership with Qatar Petroleum, Our Client Qatar Shell GTL Ltd (Shell), is building a world-scale Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) complex in at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. Qatar, with one of the largest reservoirs of gas, has the stated aim to be the GTL
capital of the world.

PLANT OPERATORS

The following positions are available in Air Separation Unit (ASU) and Feed Gas Preparation (FGP). Expereince in Pre-commissioning & Commissioning is desirable :

Field Operator – ASU
Senior Field Operator – ASU
Panel Operator – ASU
Field Operator – FGP
Senior Field Operator – FGP
Panel Operator – FGP

ASU positions require experience in one of the following processes :
• Air Separation Unit, air compressor. Liquid oxygen.
• Any other utilities operations ( steam & Power).
• Process Plant ( Refinery. Gas plant, petrochemicals).

FGP positions require experience in one of the following processes :
• Off shore Gas/ Oil production unit.
• On shore Gas/ Oil production unit.
• Gas Treatment plant, with experience in sour gas treatment and sulphur removal prefered.
• Refinery gas plants.

Other Experience Required :

Panel Operators :
• Proven track record in the position of Panel Operator.
• Minimum 5 years Operational experience.

Senior Field Operators :
• Proven track record in the position of Senior Field Operator.
• Minimum 5 years Operational experience.

Field Operator :
• Same as Senior field operator but with minimum 5 years experience.

TECHNICIANS

Technicians require :
• Pre-commissioning & Commissioning is desirable.
• A Diploma in relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years maintenance experience in either onshore or offshore facilities of the Oil &
Gas Industry.
• Knowledge in scientific principles, different measuring principles, engineering fundamentals
and computer technology.
• The ability to mentor junior colleagues.

DCS System Technicians :
• Experience in the configuration and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems and other
Sub-Systems.
• Knowledge of Field Instrument Installation, Maintenance Execution and Instrumented
Protective devices Inspection/ Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of system alarms and equipment failures.

Electrical Field Maintenance Technicians :
• Experience in Electrical Distribution, Electrical Installation, Maintenance Execution and
Electrical Protection Inspection/ Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure is required.
• Exposure to working on both online and shutdown facilities.
• Candidates will be assessed and approved as an Authorised Electrical Person.

Electrical Protection Test & Inspection Technicians :
• Knowledge and experience in Power Generation, Electrical Distribution, Electrical Installation.
• Experience in Maintenance Execution and Electrical Protection Inspection/Testing.
• Candidates will be assessed and approved as an Authorised Electrical Person.

Instrument Field Maintenance Technicians :
• Experience in Instrument Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Experience in Field Instrument Installation, Maintenance.
• Experience in Instrumented Protective devices Inspection and Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure is required.

IPS Technicians :
• Experience in the configuration and maintenance of IPS Systems and Instrumented Protective
Field Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of Field Instrument Installation, Maintenance Execution and Instrumented
Protective devices Inspection Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of system alarms and equipment failures.

QMI Technicians :
• 4 years experience in QMI.
• Experience in QMI Installation, Maintenance Execution and Metering Systems Inspection and
Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure.

Mechanical Field Maintenance Technicians :
• Experience in Maintenance Execution of Mechanical Static Equipment, Rotating Equipment,
Mechanical Protection devices (RVs, TRVs ect) Inspection/Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure.

Rotating Equipment Maintenance Technicians :
• Experience in Rotating Equipment, Condition Monitoring and Inspection/ Testing.
• Experience in Machine Shop repairs for Rotating Equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting/ analysis of equipment failure.

Senior Rotating Equipment Maintenance Technicians :
• Knowledge and experience in Maintenance Execution of Mechanical Rotating Equipment,
Condition Monitoring and Inspection/ Testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure.

Senior Laboratory Technicians :
• Sound education in Analytical or Chemistry.
• Experience of Laboratory Quality Management and LIMS systems in a modern laboratory.
• Experience in analytical support to pipe line integrity maintenance.

All personnel must be able to work in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Fluency in English both in writing and verbal is mandatory and will be tested.
