Vacancy: Project Manager SLUICES
This project is funded by the European Commission


CARE has been awarded a grant from the European Commission to undertake
the SLUICES project in Central Kalimantan province. The project, which
officially starts on January 14, 2008, aims at the construction of sluices
in two target villages in the Ex-Mega Rice area which would support water
levels in the canals in the peatland area high, while allowing villagers
to continue to use the hinterland for (responsible) use of the natural
resources. CARE International Indonesia is now recruiting for a suitable
Project Manager to manage this challenging project, based in a new
sub-office in Kuala Kapuas, which will obtain support from CARE’s
Palangkaraya office in Central Kalimantan. The project will be undertaken
with very limited CARE field staff and in close cooperation with two local
counterpart organizations (YCI and YCHI).
The Project Manager will ensure the appropriate and professional
implementation of the SLUICES Project in the most effective manner
possible, according to the proposal, logframe, donor requirements and CARE
policies and procedures. Main responsibilities include Project Management,
Financial/Budget and Asset Management, Contract Management/Complian

ce,
Personnel Management and Government Liaison/External Relations

The candidate will be familiar with project cycle management, is able to
ensure donor compliance. The candidate will have at least 7 years of
proven project implementation experience, and is familiar with monitoring
and evaluation practices, financial and administrative project management
procedures, including procurement. The project will closely work with
local counterparts, which requires that the Project Manager is able to
ensure that counterpart organizations undertake proper human resources,
accounting and asset management procedures in accordance with donor- and
CARE-regulations. Accurate and timely reports and well-designed and
maintained databases are seen as part of the project cycle management, as
well as maintaining proper safety and security regulations. The candidate
will be able to work together with other teams, including stakeholders and
CARE HQ in Jakarta.

experience in CARE and/or EC funded projects is an advantage.

PLANT OPERATOR

Summary of Position:
Following directions from the Senior Operator within a multi-disciplined

1. Providing operations for OPF Pangkah, under the
directions from the Senior Plant Operator by ensuring all plant equipments

operational, in service, maintained safely, effectively and in accordance
with procedures

PPE, tools, materials, equipment, work site preparation, etc, are in place

· Stand in coverage for Senior Plant Operator if delegated

3. Managing EHS function in the respective department

At present, one of our clients which focuses on "Oil and Gas Company" urgently needs candidates for position :

1. AREA PLANNER (AP)

Primary Duties:
a.. Understanding of basic activities of each discipline's construction work.
b.. Has knowledge of program Primavera Project Planner (P3), M/S project, Ms Office, Auto Cad.
c.. Good communication with several disciplines.
d.. Good understanding of work sequence & changes of site situation.
e.. Site patrol & check the activities.
f.. Report to disciplines & management.
g.. Understanding of usual critical path at site.

2. FIREPROOFING SUPERVISOR (FS)
Primary Duties:
a.. Monitoring and supervision for daily activities at site.
b.. Daily report to be provided and issued.
c.. Instruction and discussion with company and subcontractor.
d.. Attend construction meeting with subcontractor if required.
e.. Has at least 10 years overseas construction working experience in Oil and Gas Company (Onshore).
f.. Has painting qualification certificate for NACE.
3. PACKAGE EQUIPMENT SUPERVISOR (PES)

Primary Duties:
a.. Supervision to the erection for the package equipment by Sub-Contractor
b.. Coordination to CVL, STR, INST, ELE, PIP and other disciplines in Site for erection.
c.. Coordination to Vendor's Supervisor.
d.. Material receiving check, based on the vendor DWG and submit/ inform OSD to vendor.
e.. Technical clarification with Overseas Package Engineer and Vendor.
f.. Submit the base construction schedule for package equipment.
g.. Expedite/ Monitor the construction progress at Site.

4. WIN PCS CORDINATOR (WPC)

Primary Duties:
a.. Has experience in data entry, scanning and labelling of document, and also verification of electronic data.
b.. Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel), and expert in typing.
c.. Knowledge of database management is essential.
d.. Experience in construction database handling is an added advantage.

5. TURN OVER ENGINEER (TOE)

Primary Duties:
a.. To understand turn over overall schedule/ subsystem.
b.. To establish detail turn over documentation schedule and to complete turn over document collection in line with turn over schedule.
c.. Expediting and Follow-up construction, QC, and pre-mechanical completion group if necessary.
d.. Having experience at plant construction site as contractor or having a knowledge of general organization and general scope of contractor.

6. PIPING TEST SUPERVISOR (PTS)

Primary Duties:
a.. To supervise and to monitor the Test Subcontractor'

s work with regards HSE Safety aspect, and the Piping Pneumatic/ Hydraulic.
b.. To perform the detailed Line Checking, and to punch out the outstanding items and to check the Piping Re-Instatement of Sub-System as assigned.
c.. To monitor the Subcontractor's utilization of Manpower and Construction Equipment to suit the site priorities.
d.. To coordinate with Pre-Commissioning/ Commissioning Group, Painting/ Insulation, Instrumentation and Equipment Supervisors about the Piping Tests Schedule and Sequence as necessary.
e.. Has at least 5 years experience in Project Security in Construction Industry for Oli & Gas processing, Petrochemical or Refinery Process plants.
7. INSULATION INSPECTOR (II)

Experiences:
a.. Quality control & inspection of Sub-Contractor insulation works associated with Cold (Cryogenic) and Hot insulation on Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Piping, LNG and LPG Storage Tanks.
b.. Involve with Quality Control and Inspection of Sub-Contractor's Refractory and Fireproofing activities.
c.. Supervision and Monitoring of Insulation activities with sub-contractors and Client.
d.. To Review the Sub-Contractor's Work Plans, Method Statements, Material Review & approvals, Inspection and Test Plans for comments and recommendations, if necessary.
e.. Has ICOR Certificate.
8. ACCESS CONTROL SUPERVISOR (ACS)

Primary Duties:
a.. Assure immediately, the transmission of instructions received from his hierarchy towards his co-workers as well as observations and remarks of the guards and supervisors towards the hierarchy.
b.. Organize and oversee working schedules of his men in association with the chief supervisor.
c.. Control the work of the officer and the Guards.
d.. Assure initial orientation and training of the officer and guards.
e.. Estabilish daily reports of activitiy to be handed to Security Manager.
f.. Experience in army or police, investigation and security constructions, sense of responbilities and authority.
g.. Knowledge of the database processing, Ms. Word, and has driving licence.

GENERAL REQUIREMENT:

a.. Male (1-8).
a.. Not more than 50 years old.
a.. Willing to be located at Qatar.
a.. Min. Civil Degree from reputable university for (1) and Diploma (D3) for (2-8).
a.. Has at least 5 years working experience in Oil and Gas Company (Onshore).
a.. A good command of written & spoken in English,
a.. Computer literacy to use Microsoft Word & Excel, Databases.
a.. Has good interpersonal skills.
